Who runs this website, and who runs the boats?
There are two entities to keep straight, because they do different things.
Bajo Daybreak is the trading name of this website, labuanbajoboattour.com. The publisher is Juara Holding Group. Our job is editorial and facilitation: we describe the full-day Komodo day-tour product honestly, and we pass your enquiry to the reservations team so a real trip gets confirmed. We are not a licensed financial, legal, or tax adviser, and nothing on this site is that kind of advice.
Komodo Luxury is the operator that actually runs the tours we market. It is a real award-winning operator founded in 2015 in Labuan Bajo, and bookings are handled directly by its reservations team. The vessel, the crew, the captain, the schedule, and the on-water safety decisions belong to the operator, not to us.
When you read “we arrange” or “we facilitate” on this site, it means we connect you to that operator. The service contract for your tour is between you and the operator.

How does a booking actually work?
You start a booking by contacting us on WhatsApp at +62 811 3823 875 or by email at sales@komodoluxury.com. A booking is only confirmed once the reservations team has acknowledged your dates, passenger count, and tour type in writing, and your deposit has cleared. An enquiry, a quote, or an unanswered message is not a confirmed booking.
To register a trip inside Komodo National Park you must provide a passport copy for each guest. This is a park requirement, not our preference. We recommend booking at least 15 days in advance so passport registration and permits are handled without a rush.
Payment normally works in two steps, following standard practice among Labuan Bajo operators:
- Deposit to secure your date and seats, paid by bank transfer or PayPal.
- Balance in cash on arrival, settled with the operator before or at departure.
The exact deposit amount and accepted payment channels are confirmed by the reservations team at the time of booking and may change. Prices quoted are per person for shared tours and per boat for private charters.
What does the tour cost, and what is not included?
As of 2026, shared full-day speedboat tours from Labuan Bajo typically run around IDR 1,450,000 per person (roughly USD 90 to 100), and some premium shared products reach USD 150 or more per person. Private day yacht charters start from about USD 1,458 for the whole boat. Green Rinjani’s published one-day speedboat tour, for example, lists IDR 1,450,000 per person, seats up to 22 passengers, and visits six destinations with no overnight. Child rates on that shared trip run 30% for ages 0 to 3, 50% for ages 4 to 5, and full adult rate from age 6.
Park and government fees are not included in the tour price and are your responsibility. They are set and collected by Komodo National Park authorities, not by us or the operator. As published by Labuan Bajo operator Maika Komodo Tour & Diving for 2025 to 2026, the typical fees are:

A licensed ranger must accompany all guests trekking or wildlife-viewing on Komodo, Rinca, or Padar, for safety and conservation. Komodo National Park limits total visitors to 1,000 per day, so peak dates can sell out. A drone permit, if you want one, was reported at around IDR 2,000,000. Because these are government figures, they can move between the time you read this and the day you travel. Treat all amounts here as indicative, not guaranteed.
What happens if the weather turns bad?
Sea conditions on the crossing between Labuan Bajo and Komodo are outside anyone’s control. Dry-season months generally bring calmer water; rainy and windy months bring rougher seas and, at times, weather cancellations ordered by the harbour master. When the harbour master closes departures, no operator sails, and that is a safety rule we all follow.
If the operator or the harbour master cancels or shortens a tour for weather or safety reasons, the reservations team will offer you a reschedule to the next workable date or discuss options with you directly. A weather stand-down is not caused by us or the operator, so it is treated as a reschedule rather than an at-fault cancellation. Refund handling in that situation is decided by the operator’s policy, confirmed at booking. If you cancel for your own reasons, the cancellation terms you agreed with the reservations team apply, and deposits may be non-refundable depending on how close to departure you cancel.
The published day-tour rhythm is a plan, not a promise: hotel pickup around 06:15 to 06:30, departure by speedboat around 07:00 to 08:00, morning Padar trek roughly 08:15 to 09:30, the return leg around 15:30 to 16:30, and arrival back in Labuan Bajo with hotel transfer between 5:00 and 6:00 PM. Timings shift with sea state, tides, group pace, and how busy the sites are.
What do we not guarantee?
We want the honest boundaries clear before you pay a deposit.
- No guaranteed wildlife sightings. Komodo dragons, manta rays at Manta Point, the flying foxes at Kalong, and the marine life at Pink Beach are wild. Rangers and crew maximise your chances, but nature does not take bookings.
- No guaranteed sea or weather conditions. Swell, wind, and visibility vary day to day and can force route changes or cancellations.
- No guaranteed itinerary order. Padar, Komodo Island, Rinca Island, Pink Beach, Manta Point, and Kalong may be reordered or substituted for safety, tides, or crowd limits.
- No fixed pricing. Every IDR and USD figure on this site is dated to 2026 and subject to change by operators and park authorities.
What are the liability limits?
Because Bajo Daybreak facilitates and does not operate, our liability is limited to the accuracy and delivery of the booking-facilitation service itself. Responsibility for the vessel, crew conduct, safety equipment, and on-water operations rests with the operator, Komodo Luxury, under Indonesian maritime and tourism regulations. Park safety rules, including mandatory rangers, rest with the park authorities.
To the fullest extent permitted by Indonesian law, neither Juara Holding Group nor the operator is liable for losses arising from weather cancellations, harbour-master closures, missed wildlife sightings, personal items lost or damaged on the water, or delays outside our reasonable control. Join the tour at a level of fitness and health suited to boat travel and light trekking, and follow crew and ranger instructions at all times. We strongly recommend personal travel insurance covering water activities.
How is your personal data handled?
To process a booking we collect the data the park and operator need: your name, contact details, passenger count, and passport copy. We handle this in line with Indonesia’s Personal Data Protection Law (UU PDP, Law No. 27 of 2022). For international travellers, we also aim to respect EU GDPR principles: we collect only what a booking requires, use it only to arrange your tour and meet park registration rules, and share it only with the operator and park authorities as needed to confirm your trip.
You can ask us what personal data we hold, request a correction, or ask us to delete it once your trip and any legal record-keeping period have passed, by writing to sales@komodoluxury.com.
